Registration for the annual colloquium hosted by the American Institute for Dental Public Health (AIDPH) is now open. This year, the theme will be "Evolving the Dental Public Health Landscape: Interprofessional Practice and Value-Based Care." The colloquium will convene in San Antonio, TX on January 24 and 25, 2019. While a final agenda will be posted closer to the event, the preliminary times are as follows: Thursday, January 24th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday, January 25th, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Planning partners include the American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) and DentaQuest. Funding for this event is sponsored by a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
The American Institute of Dental Public Health (AIDPH) hosts an annual colloquium in conjunction with the American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD). The AIDPH promotes public health scholarship to dental public health scholars, dental public health advanced education students and residents through themed annual colloquia focusing on emerging subjects.
Nationally recognized speakers present research and educational initiatives for innovative public health applications. Dental public health residents are provided unique networking opportunities with speakers, attendees, and other residents. Panels and group discussions interweaved throughout the conference allow for shared ideas and collective impact. Colloquia topics have included dental public health informatics and precision public health. The colloquia are designed to encourage forward-thinking and interactive discussion in an interprofessional environment. Colloquia presentations are recorded and archived on the AIDPH website and on the AIDPH YouTube channel.

No registration fee is charged to dental public health residents and residency directors.
*To qualify for the early registration rate, online registration must be completed by 11:59 p.m. CST, January 7, 2019.
*To qualify for the regular registration rate, online registration must be completed by 11:59 p.m. CST, January 20, 2019.
*All online registrations completed on or after January 21, 2019, will be at the late registration rate. No exceptions. We cannot guarantee meals for LATE and ON-SITE REGISTRATIONS.
Cancellation and Refund Policies
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and received in the AIDPH office no later than 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday, January 7, 2019, via email to Annaliese Cothron at firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations must be acknowledged in writing by an AAPHD or AIDPH staff member to be final. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted.
Cancellations received on or before January 7, 2019, will be refunded minus a 20% administrative fee. Cancellations received January 8, 2019, or later will not be refunded.
Refunds are processed four weeks after the Conference ends. “NO SHOWS” WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The Colloquium will convene at the at the GSA rate of $126 per night with tax. The GSA rate is extended both before and after the event, so please feel free to take advantage of this reduced rate. Please note, there is a $25 resort fee attached to the rate, which includes the following:
- Wireless internet in conference center – general bandwidth which allows for casual browsing
- Guest room wireless internet for up to 6 devices and local/ domestic long distance phone calls
- Two welcome drinks per stay in Crooked Branch (gratuity not included)
- Access to the Lantana Spa Fitness Center (Minimum age 17 years)
- Golf bag storage at TPC San Antonio
- Use of Tennis facilities, includes up to four (4) racquets based on availability
- Use of Sports Court, includes two (2) hours of court time and balls included
- Admission to the resort’s 9 acre River Bluffs Water Experience
- Two (2) bottled waters per day in guest room

This continuing education activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) through joint efforts between the American Association of Public Health Dentistry and the American Institute of Dental Public Health.
To receive continuing education credit, participants must check in at the conference, attend the sessions, and complete the required evaluation forms. Participants submitting required evaluation forms will receive verification stating credits earned upon completion of all requirements as instructed by each accrediting institution.
